About

Launched in 2019 as part of an ambitious R&D project which later in 2022 expanded its scope with a publicly awarded tender, LaserFusion represents a significant leap forward in multi-material hybrid component manufacturing.

LaserFusion harnesses the precision and efficiency of laser technology to create lightweight, robust, and complex multi-material hybrid products. This innovative approach addresses key industry challenges by providing:
1. COST-EFFECTIVENESS
2. CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION
3. VERSATILITY
4. LEAKAGE TIGHTNESS
5. CUSTOMIZABLE SOLUTIONS FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS

LASERFUSION'S ADAPTABILITY IN METAL-POLYMER PAIRING
LaserFusion technology offers exceptional versatility in bonding metal-polymer combinations, creating multi-material hybrid components that meet the rigorous demands of not only the automotive sector, but others too. By carefully selecting metal-polymer pairs, manufacturers can optimize components for specific properties such as strength, conductivity, weight, and resistance to environmental factors.

PA / PBT / PPS / TPE / Epoxy - bonding with metals as Aluminium / Copper / Steel

POLYMER - METAL use cases:
- Structuring of copper pins to improve leakage tightness with the polymer matrix (eg. PBT, PPS or epoxy)
- Structuring of steel or aluminium parts for direct moulding of sealings from rubber or TPE
