Matthijs Rypma

Matthijs Rypma studied International Business, Economics, and Philosophy at the University of Groningen, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at Humboldt University of Berlin. Starting his professional career in process engineering and innovation at a horseshoe manufacturing company, he developed a strong interest in technology and innovation, especially in areas where it may not seem immediately obvious. He then transitioned to the cycling industry at Fietshangar, where he initially managed the delivery of bicycle parking projects to municipalities. His role later evolved into product management, where his focus lies in developing solutions that bring value to all stakeholders. Driven by his belief in the transformative power of cycling for urban areas, he is passionate about how products like Fietshangar can contribute to creating more livable, cycling-friendly cities.
