As a distributor, Actino Software represents leading providers of PDF technologies – from prepress to archiving, from local office use to cloud-based web services, and from technical documentation to accessible design. And whenever no suitable solution exists, Actino Software simply develops it in-house – tailored and custom-made.

Security from the ground up: Throughout the entire development process – from planning to deployment – Actino Software follows the guidelines of the APP.6 "General Software" module from the German BSI IT Baseline Protection Catalog. PDF Expertise for 30 Years
Actino Software was founded in 1999 by Michael Karbe – as the successor to NewMediaTools, a company that had already been deeply involved with the PDF format since 1994. Since then, the company has remained true to PDF and has consistently expanded its portfolio.

What started with the development of specialized plug-ins for Adobe Acrobat has grown over the years into a broad range of solutions: more than 100 tools for diverse use cases have been implemented since then. Today, our offering includes powerful server applications, modern web services, and customized workflow solutions – all based on international ISO standards around PDF.
