How to solve environmental problems with satellite data and make money
Location:Innovation Salzburg Lounge
Satellite imagery and digital maps are now available to everyone—but behind these “simple” web maps lies a rapid technological development that has been researched in Salzburg for more than 30 years. The lecture demonstrates how modern geoinformatics uses such data to make environmental challenges such as climate change, deforestation, resource scarcity, or natural disasters measurable and to improve real-world decision-making. It also explores how reliable geo-information can be transformed into practical applications and sustainable business models.
