Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death worldwide and in Austria. A key focus of our institute is heart health in conjunction with physical activity. It has been proven that regular endurance and strength training in everyday life counteracts cardiovascular diseases in the long term. Our interdisciplinary team is committed to an open culture of innovation and actively promotes dialogue between patients, health experts, researchers, and the general public. Using a wide range of research methods, we are exploring how digital technologies can contribute to a healthy lifestyle – both in prevention and in the acute care of patients.
