Cantine VIDA is a young company born from a winery that has been producing wine for over a century, built in 1917, and we have great respect for this historical heritage. Likewise, we want to give a clear and distinctive identity to our wine production, based on the pursuit of absolute quality, which we achieve by using the highest standards both for the production of young wines and aged wines. We select the best grapes for our wines through meticulous hand harvesting, in vineyards with ideal exposure and proper yields. We love fresh, lively, and intense wines because they represent us.

We are located at Mongardino, within the winegrowing landscape of Langhe–Roero and Monferrato, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its sunny, well‑ventilated hills offer ideal conditions for vine cultivation. The calcareous‑clay soils, rich in minerals, give the grapes unique structure and elegance, while the temperature variation between day and night enhances the aromatic profile of the native varieties.

Perhaps the best way to describe the bond between Mongardino and quality wine is through an old Piedmontese saying: “The people of Mongardino say it is the grape that makes the wine,” meaning that quality wine can only come from quality grapes grown in a naturally suited territory.

The hills of Mongardino are ideal for the production of Grignolino d’Asti DOC, and they also form one of the three prestigious subzones of Barbera d’Asti: Colli Astiani.
