Let us introduce ourselves: we are Francesco and Delia, young winemakers with deep roots and an eye on the future.

Our story begins in Santo Stefano Belbo, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage hills, where the vine is not just a crop, but a true family legacy. The TOJO winery was founded in the early 20th century by our great-grandfather Vittorio. After him, our grandfather Remo and our father Vittorio have preserved and nurtured this dream, harvest after harvest.

In 2012, after studying at the Alba School of Oenology, Francesco joined the winery with a clear goal: to give new voice to tradition. Years of experimentation in the vineyard and in the barrels have created authentic wines that truly express who we are. In 2021, Delia, after an experience outside the winery, also chose to return to her roots: from that moment, TOJO became the project of two young producers united by the same passion.

Our name is a tribute to our great-grandfather, who always wore his inseparable hat summer and winter and whom everyone affectionately called "Tojo." A nickname that still accompanies us today and has become a symbol of our identity: authentic, recognizable, and familiar.

We cultivate approximately 5 hectares of vineyards with southern exposure, on calcareous-clay soils blessed with an ideal microclimate. We deliberately produce small quantities: each bottle is born from a careful selection of grapes and a meticulously crafted winemaking process, respecting the great Piedmontese tradition but with a contemporary twist.

ITA: Ci presentiamo: siamo Francesco e Delia, giovani vignaioli con radici profonde e lo sguardo rivolto al futuro.

La nostra storia nasce a Santo Stefano Belbo, nel cuore delle colline patrimonio UNESCO, dove la vite non è solo una coltivazione, ma una vera eredità di famiglia. L’azienda TOJO prende vita all’inizio del Novecento grazie al nostro bisnonno Vittorio. Dopo di lui, il nonno Remo e nostro padre Vittorio hanno custodito e fatto crescere questo sogno, vendemmia dopo vendemmia.

Nel 2012, dopo gli studi alla Scuola Enologica di Alba, Francesco entra in cantina con un obiettivo chiaro: dare nuova voce alla tradizione. Anni di sperimentazione in vigna e tra le botti per creare vini autentici, capaci di raccontare davvero chi siamo. Nel 2021 anche Delia, dopo un’esperienza fuori dall’azienda, sceglie di tornare alle origini: da quel momento TOJO diventa il progetto di due giovani produttori uniti dalla stessa passione.

Il nostro nome è un omaggio al bisnonno, che estate e inverno indossava sempre il suo inseparabile cappello e che tutti chiamavano affettuosamente “Tojo”. Un soprannome che ancora oggi ci accompagna e che è diventato il simbolo della nostra identità: genuina, riconoscibile, familiare.

Coltiviamo circa 5 ettari di vigneti con esposizione a mezzogiorno, su terreni calcareo-argillosi baciati da un microclima ideale. Produciamo volutamente piccoli quantitativi: ogni bottiglia nasce da una selezione attenta delle uve e da una vinificazione curata in ogni dettaglio, nel rispetto della grande tradizione piemontese ma con un tocco contemporaneo.
