Orezza - Colline Novaresi DOC Nebbiolo

The brief period of contact between the skins and the must of the Nebbiolo grape variety gives this fragrant wine a delicate pink-orange colour and delicate notes of red berries, peach and melon.

The name of our Colline Novaresi D.O.C. Nebbiolo rosé “Orezza” is a tribute to Dante and a suggestion: the term refers to the “breath of wind” described by the Supreme Poet in the Divine Comedy. Dante writes in Purgatory (Canto I): ‘When we were there where the dew / fights with the sun, to be in part / where, at the edge, it thins out a little’, and again (Canto XXIV): ‘I felt a wind blow through the middle / of the spring, and I felt the feather move, / which made the edge smell of ambrosia’.
