Júlia Cano

I am a freelance illustrator and visual artist based in València, with a degree in Philosophy and training in the Master’s Degree in Illustration and Design (MDI).

I have worked on editorial, cultural and commissioned projects. My illustration is reflective, poetic and approachable. With a strong interest in combining conceptual depth with visual warmth.

I enjoy playing with the collective imaginary and creating images that blend fantasy, poetry and humour. My work seeks to accompany texts with sensitivity rather than explain them, leaving space for interpretation and quiet reflection.

I work mainly with traditional techniques — watercolour, gouache, pencil and ink — which I later digitise and edit to adapt them to contemporary formats.
