Howdy Claudio

Claudio is a freelance illustrator and designer. His work is defined by vivid colour palettes and an aesthetic strongly influenced by the fashion, shapes, and graphic language of the 1970s and 80s. Within this visual world(half-jokingly called “joyful nostalgia”) he combines illustration with scans of vintage magazines he collects, creating playful and evocative collages.

His practice moves between illustration and design, from editorial projects to lettering and exhibition graphics. He's especially interested in collaborating on initiatives that connect culture, territory, and community, and also takes part in self-managed and collective projects.

He has worked, among others, for CCCC, l’Etno, La Nau, Compromís València, Generalitat Valenciana, MÓ Eyewear, Panini Cómics, Andana Gráfica, MAKMA, and the European Museum of Modern Art.
