My organisation
The company will convert biological residues from forestry, sawmills and aquaculture into green bio-e-methanol through gasification and methanol synthesis – combined with green hydrogen from on-site electrolysis. The planned facility in Øyer will be Norway's first biomethanol plant, with a capacity of up to 150,000 tonnes of bio-e-methanol per year. In a second phase, the plant will also include large-scale hydrogen production. The company is targeting ISCC certification and documents emissions using ISO-compatible life cycle assessments. GHG intensity is 6–9 g CO₂e per MJ – well below conventional biofuels. Glocal Green is seeking partners that can have complementary competences across our entire value chain from biological residues collection, pre-processing, gasification, synthesis, outbound logistics, bunkering tech and use cases. Digital solutions to optimize performance is also of interest for us.
