Genoveva Canals Revilla

She holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from the UPM and a PhD in Forestry Engineering from the University of Vigo.

She has spent her entire professional career in the wood industry. Since 2006, she has led the National Association of Panel Manufacturers (ANFTA) as Secretary General, and since 2015, she has also served as Coordinator of the Business Union of Wood and Furniture (UNEmadera). In addition to her national duties, she has also carried out important work at the European Panel Federation (EPF) at the European level. She represents the Iberian sector on the EPF governing bodies and various working groups, coordinating the climate change working group as Chair, given her specialization in the subject matter that informed her doctoral theses. At the national level, she has extensive experience working with the Central Government, as well as several regional governments, and a strong ability to connect with multiple stakeholders in the forestry sector. She has been closely involved in the development of the two forest certification seals, PEFC and FSC, serving as vice president and president of these seals, respectively.

She is a great relationship builder and facilitator, building bridges toward understanding across all positions, always with the ultimate goal of contributing to and benefiting the forestry sector.
