Circular Material System Design & Deployment (Bio-Based Feedstocks)
About
CorkCycle provides a service focused on the design and deployment of circular material systems that enable the recovery, traceability, and reintegration of bio-based resources into industrial value chains.
Building on operational experience in recovering post-consumer cork from the hospitality sector, we develop and implement scalable models that connect material sources with industrial reuse pathways.
Our service includes:
-
Design of circular collection and recovery systems tailored to local or sector-specific conditions
-
Integration of logistics, sorting, and storage processes into a functional material flow
-
Development of traceability frameworks for recovered bio-based materials
-
Deployment of pilot systems across regions and sectors
-
Support in aligning circular material flows with industrial applications
This service supports:
-
development of circular bio-based value chains
-
replication of recovery systems across regions
-
transition from fragmented waste streams to structured resource flows
CorkCycle enables projects and partners to move beyond isolated recycling efforts and establish operational systems that keep bio-based materials in continuous use.
We are open to contributing as a system design partner or as a subcontracted implementation partner within EU-funded projects.
