TESELA Natura – Potential Industrial Pilot & Cross-Sector Demonstrator
About
TESELA Natura is one of Spain's leading premium honey producers and an innovative SME developing sustainable food and certified natural cosmetics. Our products are commercialised through international distribution networks across Europe, North America and Asia, serving gourmet retailers, pharmacies, health stores, specialised distributors and e-commerce channels.
Beyond manufacturing, TESELA represents a unique real-life demonstrator for digital traceability and circular supply chains.
Our company operates complex international logistics involving multimodal transportation (road, sea and air), multiple logistics providers and diverse market channels. This offers an ideal environment to validate end-to-end digital traceability under real commercial conditions.
One of our strongest assets is our Honey X Jars initiative, a recognised circular economy success case that introduced a reusable glass packaging system. Through this model, jars are tracked from production to the consumer, collected after use, professionally washed and reintroduced into the market, generating a complete circular product history. This real operational experience closely aligns with CIRCUIT's ambition to create trusted, persistent digital identities and closed-loop supply chains.
In addition to premium honey, TESELA develops certified natural cosmetics, including Halal-certified products, providing an opportunity to validate CIRCUIT's technology in two complementary sectors with demanding regulatory, quality and traceability requirements. This cross-sector approach could significantly strengthen the project's scalability and future market uptake.
Beyond industrial validation, TESELA brings research and innovation capabilities. Our CEO holds a PhD in International Marketing, collaborates with the University of Extremadura in research activities, scientific publications and international conferences, and has extensive experience in innovation management, market validation and dissemination activities within collaborative projects.
As a consortium partner, TESELA could contribute to:
-
Industrial pilot implementation in real international supply chains.
-
Validation of Digital Product Passport solutions in reusable packaging systems.
-
Demonstration of reverse logistics and circular business models.
-
Cross-sector validation in premium food and certified natural cosmetics.
-
Market validation, business model development and stakeholder engagement.
-
Dissemination, communication and exploitation of project results through international commercial networks and academic collaboration.
By combining industrial operations, circular economy experience, research capacity and international market access, TESELA can help demonstrate that CIRCUIT's technology is transferable beyond pharmaceutical applications, accelerating its adoption across high-value consumer products and circular business models.
