Seeking R&I partners: AI-driven, circular ways of working on large capex project data

About

Vixel develops Vrex, a real-time collaborative platform for capital (capex) projects across all industries — manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, maritime and more. We handle very large, standards-based project data (BIM models and reality-captured point clouds) at a scale other tools can't, and in doing so generate a unique decision-layer dataset: a record of how decisions are actually made across thousands of collaborative reviews.

We are looking for research and innovation partners to apply this capability to creative, AI-driven ways of working — improving efficiency, reducing rework and miscommunication, and supporting more sustainable and circular outcomes across established industry activities.

We are open to joint project proposals and would be glad to contribute as a partner, and to discuss a consortium or coordinator fit where relevant.

We are especially interested in applying this beyond the project phase, into the full circular asset lifecycle. The thousands of conversations and micro-decisions we capture become a living operational record that informs operations, major maintenance, decommissioning, reuse and material recovery. This holds across very different horizons: buildings and infrastructure that live 20+ years, and manufacturing facilities where major maintenance is frequent and the demolition and reconstruction of process lines is almost routine — making reusable, standards-based decision data a powerful enabler of circular, sustainable outcomes.
