Research on the use of insect protein
About
We are developing a fully automated insect farming system focused on the bioconversion of household kitchen waste into high-value insect protein, primarily using cricket species. The prototype is designed to operate autonomously for up to three months without human intervention and is manufactured from recycled plastic using 3D printing technologies. At the end of its lifecycle, all system components are recyclable, supporting circular economy principles. The system integrates real-time environmental control, sensor-based monitoring, and data collection to optimize growth conditions and protein yield. The project aims to contribute to sustainable feed production, reduce organic waste, and advance decentralized food and feed systems. We are seeking R&D and industrial partners interested in insect biotechnology, circular bioeconomy, and waste valorization.
