Portugal Wijn Import

Portugal Wijn Import began importing Portuguese wine, fortified wine, Espumante, and olive oil for the hospitality industry and retail sector in 2006. We source all our products directly from the producers. We supply the hospitality and retail sectors throughout the Netherlands and sell to consumers via our online store. Our main business is B2B.

A few years ago, we also began importing Spanish wines.

At this moment we still use our website portugalwijnimport.nl also for our Spanish and Italian wines, but we are currently working on changing the name, because now it refers to Portuguese wines only and that might be confusing. Fortunately our main business is B2B and all our clients know we work with Spanish wines too. We have not yet any wines from Rioja and would like to start with Rioja wines very much.

It is essential to us that we place great value on good, personal relationships with our producers and customers. Before we start working with a new producer, there must be a mutual “click”—a solid foundation for a long-term partnership. We also strive to build strong relationships with our customers. Personal service, tailored advice, support for promotions, tastings, and staff training—we consider all of these to be very important.

Our goal is always to source wines that offer an excellent balance between price and quality, with quality being our top priority.

In addition to importing, we also organize tastings and gastronomic wine tours, where wine is paired with other local products and culture.
