At BODEGAS FORCADA, we work with century-old, high-mountain vineyards -with a particular focus on Garnacha- to produce unique wines such as Alma de Forcada Cepas Viejas, awarded Best Grenache Wine in the World by the IWC, as well as the La Forcada range, consistently receiving 92+ scores from international critics.
Our wines offer strong turnover and attractive margins for our partners and are easy-to-sell thanks to their exceptional quality, premium presentation, and unique origin, as we are the only winery in Rioja located with a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve certification.
BODEGAS FORCADA is also among the top Rioja wineries in terms of centenary vineyard.
Our 135 hectares of family-owned vineyards, many of them centuries old, are located in the Sierra de Alcarama at altitudes ranging from 600 to 850 metres, conditions that contribute to greater aromatic complexity and freshness in the grapes.
The steep slopes form part of one of the most striking landscapes in D.O.Ca. Rioja, where manual harvesting and small trailers are required to transport the grapes to the winery. The area offers ideal conditions for grape ripening, within an ecosystem that allows for organic and near-organic viticulture, as required to obtain the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve certification.
BODEGAS FORCADA is a family-owned winery located in Rincón de Olivedo, La Rioja, currently managed by David Forcada, the fourth generation of viticulturists in the family.
