FINCA DE LOS ARANDINOS
About
Finca de los Arandinos is the life’s work of the penultimate generation of the Guillén-Sáenz family—which has over 100 years of winemaking experience. Although it is deeply rooted in family tradition, it is a young venture; the first vintage we produced was in 2008.
Shortly after its launch, R. Parker wrote in The Wine Advocate: “Finca de los Arandinos is a name to watch, as they offer very high-quality D.O.Ca. Rioja at very reasonable prices.”
The truth is that with a track record of just over 18 years and a clear international focus, our wines are successfully making their mark in many markets across every continent, where they have earned—and continue to earn—numerous accolades. Undoubtedly, the most important recognition comes from the public and consumers every single day. Our three main characteristics are: our own vineyards in our small village of ENTRENA in Rioja Alta, located in a valley flanked by two rivers; the altitude of our vineyards (between 520 and 650 meters); and the age of our vines (the average is 50 years).
We produce our wines exclusively from grapes we grow ourselves (using natural, sustainable, and minimally interventionist methods; the vineyard where the grapes for our red wine, El Conjuro, come from is certified organic). We cultivate 24 hectares of vineyards spread across 56 small plots. We harvest by hand into containers holding a maximum of 200 kg, and all the grapes are selected manually before entering the winery.
I’d like to take this opportunity to inform you of the latest accolades our wines have received:
