MURIEL WINES

Muriel Wines, is one of the main wine groups in Spain. Established in Rioja, our story is that of a gradual expansion based on the sum of projects and dreams.

The origin is Muriel, the renowned winery in Elciego (Rioja Alavesa) founded in 1926 by José Murúa, and today the group brings together seven different wineries: 4 in DOCa Rioja, Muriel, Viña Eguía, Conde de los Andes and Luis Alegre; one of varietal wines, Real Compañía de Vinos; one in D.O Rias Baixas, Pazo Cilleiro, and our last adquisition in D.O Ribera del Duero, Valdecuriel. Nowadays the 3rd generation, Javier Murúa, is involved in the family business and he runs the business together with a young team of 45 wine lovers!
