Tío Martín

Tío Martín Crianza is a contemporary Rioja red crafted from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano sourced from 40-year-old vineyards in Aldeanueva de Ebro. It shows a brilliant ruby colour and an expressive, complex nose of blackberries, blueberries and Mediterranean scrub—lavender, dill and rosemary—beautifully integrated with balsamic notes, sweet spices such as vanilla, coconut and clove, and touches of dark chocolate.

The winemaking process focuses on preserving freshness and enhancing structure: cold pre-fermentation maceration, controlled fermentation with daily punch-downs, malolactic fermentation and 14 months of ageing in French and American oak barrels (new and second use). Bottling without filtration maintains purity and character.

On the palate, it reveals personality and balance, with ripe black fruit, subtle menthol notes and a long finish marked by refined hints of cocoa and coffee that invite further drinking. Its approachable yet structured style performs strongly in international markets, making it ideal for red meats, BBQ dishes, veal and hearty stews in both on-trade and retail.
