Projet - Rethinking Buildings for Reuse – The Concrete Case of the ACEC Site in Herstal

Anne Dehoux, projet Manager for SPI & Mathieu Leroy, durability project Manager for Greisch

This presentation will focus on the ACEC in Herstal, and more specifically on the project to rehabilitate a former industrial hall into an indoor business park.
As project owner, SPI – the territorial development agency for the Province of Liège – will present its circular approach and explain how this strategy is being implemented concretely on the ACEC site in Herstal.
Starting from the broader concept of circularity, the presentation will then focus on how reuse was encouraged within the service contract awarded at the end of 2023.
As project designer, the temporary association Canevas-Greisch will describe how it embraced this ambition and how it led to changes in its design and work practices.
