Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) is the organisation responsible for the international relations of Wallonia-Brussels. It is the instrument of the international policy conducted by the Wallonia, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and the French Community Commission of the Brussels-Capital Region, federated entities of Belgium.
Wallonia-Brussels International – Research & Innovation Department
The R&I Department supports the internationalisation of research and innovation actors in Wallonia-Brussels. Through its global network of Scientific and Academic Counsellors (CSA), WBI fosters international cooperation, promotes strategic partnerships, and strengthens visibility in global research programmes. From coordinating missions and bilateral agreements to connecting with foreign R&I organisations and monitoring scientific trends, the CSA network is a key driver of science diplomacy and innovation outreach.
