Interested in collaboration with defence forces and others - to test our non-drug solution inhibiting wound infection while the wounded soldier is en route.

My organisation

Danish Polymer Centre Our research work is focused on the development and application of a variety of polymers in commercial products to assist and provide support for the Danish as well as international polymer industry. The AleSac (working title) research project develops a non-drug solution for effective treatment of infected wounds, not causing antimicrobial resistance. It has a dual-use focus: a first aid multifunctional foam for acute wounds, bridging the gap between battlefield and hospital, and a novel 3D-dressing for chronic wounds, eliminating pooling of exudate in the wound and controlling infection. The project has received funding from Novo Nordisk Foundation, SPARK Denmark, Innovation Fund Denmark, the Independent Research Fund Denmark, and DTU. A spin-out from DTU is scheduled for Q1 2026.
