About me
Ing. Osei Louis Kwasi is a distinguished energy engineer with more than 16 years of progressive experience across power systems, oil and gas infrastructure, and renewable energy technologies. His competencies encompass the engineering, optimization, and deployment of advanced clean energy systems that support decarbonization, grid modernization, and the broader energy transition agenda. A Senior Professional Engineer of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), he currently serves as Technical Advisor for Green Hydrogen and Solar PV at GIZ, where he leads high-impact commercial and industrial renewable energy programs.
He holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from KNUST and is certified as an Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance by the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. His multidisciplinary academic background further includes Energy Systems Engineering, Industrial Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Project Management.
Ing. Louis has overseen major electrical and energy operations at UGMC, BOST/TSL Logistics, and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on hydrogen energy storage, mini-grid performance optimization, and industrial energy modelling. His leadership in policy development, technical innovation, and capacity building continues to shape sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon energy systems across Ghana and the African region.
