Zero Terrain

Zero Terrain is an Estonian energy-tech company that delivers underground pumped-hydro storage, which can be built close to demand with a minimal surface footprint. Our plants store electricity for up to 30 hours, balance renewables, provide grid inertia, and enable black-start in emergencies. The same underground complex can co-locate critical industry—data centres, pharma, defence, cold storage—sharing cooling and heat recovery to cut costs and boost resilience. Buried siting provides physical protection, autonomous utilities, and controlled access—making it well-suited for high-risk regions and strategic assets. We aim to pilot this dual-use model with partners in Ukraine.
