Implementation of measures for sustainable water management and development of green infrastructure

The goal is is to adapt the community to climate challenges and reduce vulnerability to climate change by implementing measures aimed at modernising stormwater management systems and introducing elements of green infrastructure in the city of Korosten.

**It is planned:
**- installation of a rainwater collection system from building roofs;
- creation of rain gardens and ditches, green parking lots, green bus stops, green pergolas and gazebos.
The implementation of the proposed measures will reduce the load on the urban storm sewer system by changing attitudes towards the optimisation of water use and applying effective solutions to meet technical needs, contribute to the restoration of the disturbed water balance of the urban area and the purification of surface runoff from streets, and contribute to improving water quality in the Uzh River.

**- development of design and estimate documentation;
- finding and attracting funding for the project's implementation

**What does the community already have?
** In 2025, in cooperation with the NGO ‘EcoClub’, a concept for a project idea was described in order to seek funding.
