Advanced Non-Invasive UXO Detection & Subsurface Mapping with AI and UAVs
About
Xplora Srl offers advanced, non-invasive technologies for UXO detection and subsurface analysis, supporting reconstruction efforts in post-conflict zones.
Combining multi-sensor fusion with proprietary AI software and drone-based platforms, Xplora provides a true 3D “CT scan” of the underground, identifying UXO and buried utilities up to 14 meters deep with high accuracy and minimal false positives.
Our DeepGeo-AI® platform enables rapid, automated processing of raw data into GIS/CAD-ready deliverables (.shp/.dwg), supporting engineers, utility providers, and civil protection authorities in safe land reclamation and infrastructure planning.
Our RMDS® system, certified and tested in operational scenarios (e.g. with the U.S. Army), allows autonomous detection of surface and subsurface mines using UAVs equipped with multispectral sensors and onboard AI. It delivers real-time, georeferenced outputs, operating even in GNSS-denied, cluttered, or high-risk areas.
Main advantages:
-
Zero-contact methodology ensures safety of personnel
-
Faster and more reliable than traditional excavation surveys
-
Proven success in civil, energy, railway, and military applications
Relevance to Rebuild Ukraine:
Xplora’s solution directly supports reconstruction by ensuring rapid UXO clearance and safe underground mapping for roads, energy grids, housing, and industrial redevelopment—unlocking access to land that would otherwise remain unsafe or unusable.
