Nerve is a Danish energy technology company that makes limited, unstable or locally generated electricity usable for high-power applications, energy storage and critical backup. At its core is the patented Nerve Switch®, which controls individual battery cells, improves battery utilisation and reduces the need for heavy power electronics and unnecessary energy conversions.

The technology has already been demonstrated in approximately 20 civilian, battery-buffered 350 kW chargers capable of delivering high charging power from a modest grid connection. Together, Nerve Smart Systems and Nerve Power Systems are developing this platform further into modular BESS solutions, intelligent energy management systems, the integration of new and second-life EV batteries, and robust mobile energy units.

Nerve can thereby connect the grid, solar, wind, generators, batteries, vehicles and critical loads in one flexible energy solution that creates economic value in peacetime and secures local power supply when the grid is weak, damaged or completely unavailable.
