IMI-BAS is the leading Bulgarian research organisation in the field of Mathematics. IMI-BAS has a strong track record of participation in the framework program for research and innovation, as well as other highly competitive funding calls.
The institute has active research groups whose interests include coding theory and communication, high-performance computing and data processing, mathematical modelling, machine learning architectures and others.
Since 2019 IMI-BAS also develops ICMS, a dynamic research unit with three research groups that host specialists in quantum groups and quantum toric geometry, ML applications in mathematical reasoning, quantum communication and others.
