About
I2CT has unique internationally recognized expertise on both the functionalization of nanomaterials and nanoparticles for biomedical applications, and on fundamental and clinical aspects of autoimmune mechanisms. The team research interests focus on the design of multifunctional carbon and 2D nanomaterials, as well as inorganic and amino acid-based nanoparticles, for therapy, diagnosis, and imaging. The team has longstanding experience in the functionalization of carbon nnaotubes and graphene oxide for biomedical applications, and the safety aspects, in particular their biocompatibility and biodegradability.
