Vasilis Kapinas has industrial and operational experience in satellite communications, flight dynamics, advanced mobile networks, and European R&I projects.
Vasilis Kapinas combines industrial and operational experience with applied research in advanced mobile and satellite communication systems, as well as geostationary satellite operations. He holds a PhD in Wireless Communications and has previously worked at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESA/ESTEC) and in academic research roles, contributing to the development of next-generation satellite communication systems. He has experience in national and European R&I projects, has authored numerous scientific and technical publications, and is co-inventor of a European patent on interference management. Within Horizon Europe, he is particularly interested in space-focused topics that bridge industrial deployment with advanced research, including innovative satellite communication solutions, NTN, and future space-based network architectures.
