The National Institute for Research and Physico-chemical Analysis (INRAP) was created in January 1995 (Law No. 95-4 of January 2, 1995). Decree No. 98-2413 of November 30, 1998 on the organization of the institute stipulates in its article 2 that INRAP is a public scientific research establishment of an administrative nature endowed with civil personality and financial autonomy. From January 1, 2011, INRAP became a public scientific and technological establishment (EPST) in accordance with decree No. 3483 of 21-12-2010.
