About me
I am Gordana Vlahović, Head of the International Relations and Project Office at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, where I oversee research development, project management, and international collaboration. My work focuses on helping researchers and institutions secure external funding, ensure research compliance, negotiate grants, and build strong international partnerships in both education and science.
I have guided and implemented numerous successful research and innovation projects funded through Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, IPA CBC, and Interreg programmes, supporting teams from idea to impact.
Since 2007, I have also served as Serbia’s National Contact Point for the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, covering the European Research Council (ERC) and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). In this role, I provide training, counselling, and strategic support in proposal development, partner search, and programme participation.
As a Fulbright–Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Pennsylvania State University (2018–2019), I enhanced my expertise in research management and policy, exploring best practices in innovation ecosystems. Since 2014, I’ve also been a guest lecturer at the European Training Academy (EUTA) in Belgrade.
In 2022, I joined the SAIGE project (Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project) as an Expert, supporting the reform of the national research and innovation sector. My focus is on enhancing the excellence and relevance of the national scientific institutes, strengthening their management practices, and connecting them with key domestic, regional, and global innovation networks.
I am a member of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), dedicated to advancing professional standards, recognition and visibility of Research managers.
