Assistant Professor of the Pomology laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) from 2024. My research interests focus on the study of nutritional elements related to fruit physiology and ripening, factors affecting fruit quality and the understanding of molecular mechanisms in abiotic stresses of fruit trees using high-throughput molecular techniques (-omics) such as metabolomics, proteomics and comparative genomic analysis. From my research activity until now, 56 scientific papers, 1 literature review article, 1 chapter in an international book and 1 editorial letter in peer-reviewed scientific journals have been published. My h-index is 23/24 and the total citations are 1266/1476 based on data from scopus and scholar databases, respectively. At the same time, I have presented / participated in 20 and 81 oral presentations or posters in international and national conferences. I taught the courses Pomology / Subtropical, Tropical, Small and Other Fruit Trees / Deciduous Fruit Trees / Olive Cultivation / Horticultural Biology and participated in 2 educational programs. I have received 2 competitive grants and participated as a research team member in 6 competitive and 11 non-competitive projects. For the implementation and writing of the papers I have collaborated with a total of 132 co-authors of all levels. I have done reviews as a reviewer in 104 articles (22 titles of scientific journals belonging to SCI). I am also editor of 3 special issues and a member of the editorial team of the scientific journal Horticulturae and BMC Plant Biology.
