About

GIOTEC's scientific activity is organized into five integrated research lines:

(1) Clinical and Epidemiological Research

(2) Hereditary Cancer and Genetic Risk

(3) Cancer Metabolism and Metabolomics

(4) Precision Oncology and Data Integration

(5) Patient-Centred Oncology and Digital Health.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should:

• Hold a PhD in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, bioinformatics, genetics, or a closely related discipline.

• We particularly welcome applicants with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: germline genetics and hereditary cancer syndromes, multi-omics data integration, clinical data analysis, or computational approaches applied to precision oncology.

• Experience in interdisciplinary research, collaborative environments, and translational projects bridging laboratory findings with clinical application will be highly valued.

• Candidates should have a strong publication record relative to career stage, experience in international research settings, and the capacity to independently design and lead innovative research projects.

• We are especially interested in applicants who aim to develop an original, high-impact project aligned with GIOTEC’s Hereditary Cancer and Genetic Risk research line, contributing to improved risk stratification, early detection strategies, and personalized prevention in hereditary cancer syndromes.

• Excellent communication skills, the ability to work within a multidisciplinary clinical-research environment, and a strong commitment to scientific excellence and career development are essential.
