About

I am a Lecturer in the History of Ancient Art and Classical Iconography and a scholar of Greco-Roman sculpture, currently researching decorative sculpture in Hellenistic and Roman contexts.

My work spans museum collections across Europe and North America and combines iconographic, stylistic, and typological analysis with archaeometric studies aimed at characterizing and identifying the raw materials used, primarily marbles and other stones.

I was awarded an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Bonn, where I initiated my current line of research through the LIVART project (Living with Art, ref. 101207732), developing expertise in Roman decorative art and approaches to its contribution to understanding Roman society, economy, and culture beyond typological study.

I am seeking to strengthen my international collaborations in the history of ancient art, classical archaeology, museum research, and ancient sculptural studies.
