About
The Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Craiova (Romania), is interested in developing international cooperation within future MSCA proposals, particularly MSCA Staff Exchanges and Doctoral Networks.
Our research interests are situated at the intersection of theology, religious and cultural heritage, communities, digital humanities and GIS-based approaches to heritage research.
We are particularly interested in projects addressing:
• living religious heritage and the role of religious communities in heritage preservation;
• Christian heritage, Byzantine and Eastern Christian traditions, liturgy and ritual;
• biblical studies, Luke-Acts, early Christianity and the historical geography of Christianity;
• digital humanities and GIS for mapping religious, historical and cultural heritage;
• community engagement and participatory approaches to heritage;
• the documentation, interpretation and sustainable preservation of religious heritage;
• the relationship between cultural heritage, climate resilience and local communities.
We can contribute expertise in New Testament studies, biblical geography, exegesis, Byzantine liturgy, religious heritage, community-oriented research and GIS/digital mapping.
We are particularly interested in joining or developing MSCA Staff Exchanges and Doctoral Network proposals with universities, research centres, museums, heritage organisations, NGOs, municipalities and other non-academic partners.
We welcome researchers working in Humanities, Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage, Digital Humanities, Geography/GIS and related interdisciplinary fields.
We are open to discussing project ideas, potential roles and complementary expertise for future MSCA proposals.
