Seeking MSCA Doctoral Network partners: sunlight & cardiovascular health, exercise physiology (UK)

I am Dr David Muggeridge, Associate Professor in Exercise Physiology and Sport, Exercise and Health Theme Lead in the School of Applied Sciences at Edinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh, UK. My research uses exercise and physical activity to prevent and treat disease across two main strands.

The first develops wearables and digital health technologies, turning continuous real-world activity and physiological data into tools for early detection, personalised exercise prescription and long-term management of chronic conditions. The second investigates sunlight and cardiovascular health, examining how UV exposure drives nitric-oxide pathways, vascular function and blood pressure at population scale. Across both, I combine controlled laboratory work with applied and clinical translation.

I am seeking to join or co-develop an MSCA Doctoral Network at the interface of physical activity, digital health and disease prevention, and I welcome contact from prospective coordinators and partners in academia and industry.
