Seeking a candidate for a MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowship position in Spain
About
MSCA PF 2026 Hosting Opportunity in Cellular Senescence, Cancer and Aging at CiMUS – University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain)
Host institution:
Centre for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS)
University of Santiago de Compostela
María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence
Research field: Cell Biology / Cancer Biology / Aging Research
Position type: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF 2026)
Application deadline: 9 September 2026
CiMUS invites expressions of interest from postdoctoral researchers wishing to prepare an MSCA PF 2026 proposal within the Cell Senescence, Cancer and Aging Laboratory (ColladoLab), led by Dr. Manuel Collado Rodríguez. The group investigates the biological and pathological roles of cellular senescence, with a particular focus on cancer, aging, tissue homeostasis, and the development of innovative senescence-targeting therapies.
The hosting group combines molecular, cellular, and translational approaches to understand how senescent cells contribute to health, disease, and aging. Current research interests include the identification of novel senolytic compounds, the characterization of senescence biomarkers, therapy-induced senescence in cancer, and the impact of senescent cells on tissue remodeling, inflammation, and tumor progression.
Profile sought: Postdoctoral researchers in cell biology, cancer biology, molecular medicine, aging research, pharmacology, biomedicine, or related fields. The group welcomes innovative research ideas aligned with its scientific interests.
