Staff Exchange: Edible coatings and bioplastics from biowastes
About
We have successfully created an edible coating for cucumbers from spent algae biomass. The biomass is from astaxanthin producers. We will be expanding our coatings to other vegetables and fruits.
We are also actively researching biodegradable bioplastics from similar or same wastes. Algae, seaweed, fish and more. Looking for partner organizations and/or companies for a staff exchange and/or possible consortium in the future.
