International Research Collaboration from the Heart of Central Asia – WIUT
About
Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) is Uzbekistan’s first international university and a regional hub for excellence in education, research, and innovation. We offer UK-validated undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a wide range of disciplines, including:
Business, Management and Finance
Economics and Development Studies
Computing, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
Law, Governance and Public Policy
Education, Pedagogy and Lifelong Learning
Sustainability, Environment and Circular Economy
Entrepreneurship and Regional Innovation
WIUT is an active participant in EU-funded projects (Erasmus+ CBHE, Jean Monnet, and Horizon Europe) and seeks to expand its international research partnerships under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). We offer a vibrant academic environment, well-established project management experience, and growing research clusters in both applied and theoretical fields.
We are currently seeking partnerships for future MSCA consortia and Horizon Europe projects. Specifically, we are open to collaborations in but not limited:
AI, cybersecurity, and the digital transition
Green economy, circular practices, and sustainability
Legal innovation, anti-corruption, and digital governance
Inclusive education, pedagogy, and EdTech
SMEs, entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystems
Labour markets, social inclusion, and public administration reform
WIUT can serve as a host institution for MSCA researchers and secondments, or as a project partner offering access to academic expertise, regional policy networks, stakeholder engagement, and a motivated base of early-career researchers.
We look forward to connecting with research institutions, universities, and organisations across Europe and beyond who are exploring new MSCA proposals or long-term collaboration opportunities.
