Looking for MSCA PF candidate interested in unraveling autoimmune diseases using single cell sequencing approaches

About

The Antwerp Unit for Data Analysis and Computation in Immunology and Sequencing (AUDACIS, https://www.uantwerpen.be/en/projects/audacis/) is a multidisciplinary unit that

  1. generates in-house data from different settings using cutting edge OMICS technologies

  2. develops new bioinformatics tools to analyse these in-house data

A list of our publications can be found here: https://www.uantwerpen.be/en/projects/audacis/publications/, but recently we have published in high impact journals like Science Advances (2x), eLife and Cell Reports.

We are now looking for a strong postdoctoral researcher that is eligible to apply for a MSCA PF grant.

At AUDACIS we will co-write the application with you and of course host you if you receive the grant. Our university will help us in the preparation of the grant (https://www.uantwerpen.be/en/research/policy/funding/horizon-europe/pillar1/msca/marie-curie/).

For the current project, we would like to better understand polymyalgia rheumatica, which is an autoimmune disease that is primarily affecting individuals older than 50 years.

We will use single cell gene expression and T cell receptor (TCR) sequencing and combine this with bulk TCR sequencing on blood-derived samples from these individuals. Using a bioinformatics approach we will decode the underlying pathophysiology of this disease and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.

You must have at least 1 first author paper in a Q1 journal or at least 2 first author papers in Q2 journals. You must have experience with flow cytometry and preferably with T cells.

If you are interested and you think that you are a good fit, please don't hesitate to contact us.
