National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics
About
The institute (INFLPR) carries out fundamental and applied research activities in the field of lasers, light-matter interaction, plasma and electron accelerators. The applications resulting from this research are developed in partnership with research institutes, within the national research program, as well as with industrial partners. INFLPR is involved in a wide variety of research projects with other institutions and universities at national and international level. Through the facilities of national interest it possesses and through the knowledge in the field, the institute offers the national scientific community the possibility of carrying out complex, interdisciplinary experiments, located at the frontier of knowledge. INFLPR develops instrumentation for laser, photonics, plasma and space experiments, it also implements an active policy towards qualifying the human resources by continuously improving the research skills of its own staff and continuously involving students in the research process. Students are guided to apply for Ph.D. and Post-Doc scholarships in the most advanced laboratories in Europe and across the world.
