About

The use of digital medical brain images is common in health institutions and in neuroscience experiments. This type of data is of vital importance for diagnosis, treatment and the correct understanding of the structure and function of the nervous system. However, the representation, the digital storage of images and their subsequent analysis involves various challenges. This project proposes the development of a free software to assist researchers in the collection and analysis of neuroimaging data. Techniques and models from the area of machine learning, deep learning and pattern recognition will be used to generate clinical prognostic models. In addition, this software will present a data model that will be aligned with the guidelines of the Neuroscience community to report experiments that include neuroimaging information. The data model will be designed to allow the efficient management of all the steps of an experimental protocol and its different types of data and metadata. Furthermore, its architecture will provide a user-friendly interface to do digital image analysis and reporting.
