About
As Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Director of the Peace Journalism Lab (PJL), my expertise lies at the intersection of media literacy, strategic communication, digital transformation, and societal resilience
The Peace Journalism Lab is an internationally recognized hub promoting research, education, and innovation in journalism, communication, and civic engagement. It brings together academics, media professionals, and policymakers to address emerging challenges such as hybrid threats, misinformation, and the impact of AI on information ecosystems.
Through partnerships, we can offer:
-
Joint research and project development in EU and regional frameworks (Horizon Europe, IPA, Creative Europe, Erasmus+).
-
Capacity-building programs and specialized training for journalists, educators, and public institutions on media literacy, crisis communication, and counter-disinformation.
-
Co-organization of international conferences, summer/winter schools, and hackathons connecting academia and practice.
-
Development of innovative tools and indicators, such as national media literacy indexes and digital dashboards assessing media impact.
-
Policy support and consulting on media governance, strategic communication, and public diplomacy.
Our approach combines academic rigor, field implementation, and multi-stakeholder engagement, aiming to strengthen democratic communication, institutional trust, and regional cooperation.
