Who we are
The Climate Media Factory is a media, consulting and concept agency in Potsdam, Germany, which emerged from a media laboratory between the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and the Babelsberg Film University in 2011. We are an interdisciplinary team that thrives on collaboration and our diverse expertise to tackle the challenge of communicating change.
What we do
We develop inventive communication formats that shape societal discourses about sustainable futures. We consult and initiate projects that support transformation processes and convey scientific knowledge and practical solutions for sustainable futures to decision-makers and the broader society.
Our vision
We want to amplify the visibility of climate realities, inspire sustainable policies, and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon society. We believe in the power of collective action and with our partners and collaborators strive to have an impact on how sustainable futures are imagined and implemented.
Our mission
We create impactful, and scientifically accurate content that sets the right priorities and has an eye on the major levers and interconnections in the area of climate policy and science. Our media tools and stories inform, engage, entertain, and empower individuals, communities, and organisations to take meaningful steps towards a sustainable and resilient future.
