Dr. Anca Florina Zgură is a medical doctor and Associate Professor, in the field of oncology,  at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest. Her remarkable journey is marked by a series of academic and professional accomplishments that have positioned her as a leading expert in her field.Formative years were shaped by a compelling interest in medical sciences. Her academic journey took her to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest, where she not only earned her medical degree but also a Doctorate in Medicine. Her doctoral thesis,"Identification of Immunological Factors Influencing Prognostic Outcomes and Treatment Resistance in Breast Cancer," has received significant academic attention.Also she holds a Master's in Economics and a degree in Law. She is specialized through courses, including those from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), to enrich her medical expertise.Dr. Zgura embarked on her career as a medical resident in oncology at the "Prof. Dr. Alexandru Trestioreanu" Oncology Institute in Bucharest. Here, she honed her skills in patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Her exemplary performance paved the way for her subsequent roles as an Assistant Professor and then as a Associate Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest.Notable for contributions to multiple medical and scientific disciplines with a focus on oncology, immunotherapy, hepatology, and nephrology. Published extensively in ISI-rated, PubMed-indexed, and CNCSIS-endorsed journals.In addition to her extensive research and academic commitments, Dr. Anca Zgură maintains pivotal international collaborations. She has formed a research alliance with Hebrew University, Israel, focusing on innovative oncology projects. Concurrently, she has also engaged in impactful research partnerships with the Instituto per lo Studio e la Prevenzione Oncologica in Italy. These collaborations serve to enhance both the scope and impact of her contributions to the field of oncology.As a Medic Specialist in Oncology and later as a resident in Radiotherapy, Dr. Zgura undertook diverse medical procedures and played a key role in tumor boards, aiming for comprehensive patient care. Her managerial skills have been evident in her ability to efficiently handle medical documentation and coordination with medical teams.Dr. Zgură has completed a plethora of certification programs ranging from Good Clinical Practice for Clinical Trial Sites to participation in advanced courses in various areas of oncology.
