MISTER Smart Innovation is an industrial research laboratory and innovation centre making part of the High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna. It is a virtuous example of a private research body established as a Public-Private Partnership, with core competencies in IoT sensor technology, automation, and data science across various advanced industrial fields, in addition to artificial intelligence and new immersive digital technologies. MISTER is a member of four regional CLUST-ERs: Mech, Health, Innovate, and Create. Furthermore, it has been the managing body of the Bologna CNR Technopole, part of the Emilia-Romagna Technopoles Network, since 2017. Being part of these networks helps to improve and facilitate the exchange of ideas with the objective of promoting a greater focus on regional S3 strategic priorities, fostering more effective dialogue with companies, and building greater integration between laboratories, innovation centres, and the manufacturing system.
