The Private Foundation Hospital Asil de Granollers (FPHAG) is a leading healthcare and social care institution in Vallès Oriental, integrated into the Catalan public healthcare system (SISCAT). Its mission is to provide health and social care services that improve the quality of life of the population, combining excellence in care with education, research, and innovation.
The Foundation is made up of the General Hospital of Granollers, the Adolfo Montañá Geriatric Center, and the Sant Jordi Day Hospital, providing comprehensive care to a population of 450,000 inhabitants. It has a team of more than 2,000 professionals and an annual budget of €166 million.
As a university hospital, FPHAG is accredited for the training of resident physicians (MIR), pharmacists (FIR), midwives, and undergraduate and postgraduate students in collaboration with several Catalan universities. In line with its commitment to knowledge generation, the Research and Innovation Area was established in 2007 to support professionals in the development of scientific and technological projects, fostering public-private collaborations and technology transfer.
FPHAG also has an accredited Research Ethics Committee, a Statistics Service for methodological support, and actively participates in clinical studies, competitive projects, and regulated trials.
